BizTravel Forum was set up in 2003 by intuition of the President of the Uvet Group, Luca Patanè, at the time President of Uvet American Express Corporate Travel.
What was missing from the business travel sector was an occasion for meeting, reflecting and debating and something that would create a culture and become a valid benchmark for companies and market operators.
And so the long adventure of BizTravel Forum began – and not by chance at the SMAU fair – a now recurring event that over the years has adapted to the continual developments in the sector, anticipating the trends and providing interesting reading keys on the business travel scenario in Italy.
Over the years BizTravel Forum has become the catalysing event of the Italian Business Travel Community, the sector rendezvous that every year opens the doors to the major companies on the Italian market and the most well-known operators in the Mobility, Events and Tourism sectors with a unique goal: meeting, comparing notes, learning about and discussing the latest travel management issues: from globalisation and economic crisis to disintermediation; from travel management process rationalisation to new mobility technologies and services; from travel tax regulations to self-booking tools or the new purchasing behaviour of business travellers, to mention only a few.
The heart of BizTravel Forum is the rich content with more than 20 meetings packed into two days with Forums, Seminars, Workshops, Roundtables and BizArena – initiatives that see the participation of international experts and authoritative professionals of the sector as well as managers of major companies or multinationals.
Every year also sector journalists, financial newspapers and Uvet Network travel agents or independent agencies participate in the event.
The chief attraction is the traditional opening forum, which, strong in its intense and stimulating talk show, tracks the market trends, provides a complete overview of the emerging trends in corporate travel and announces the future challenges.
More than 1300 participants and over 70 sector operators are present at BizTravel Forum, among which Sponsors, Media Partners and Exhibitors; numerous, attentive and qualified participation. A big turnout, but also a wealth of content and qualified speakers: these are the winning cards of the event.
Thanks to BizTravel Forum a new way of conceiving business travel has come into the world, an event that has also re-invented itself in format changing from a simple show/convention to a benchmark event of the business travel community, capable of giving back visibility to the world of business travel, creating enterprise culture and de facto contributing to the growth process of the entire sector.
The 13th edition of BizTravel Forum will take place in Milan on the 1st and 2nd of December 2015 at Fiera Milano City Mi.Co, via Gattamelata 5, Gate 14, Milan.

There are many business opportunities arising from the estimated 20 million visitors that will be coming to Expo 2015 and it is difficult to establish which of them to grab and how. Among the questions to be asked are: How to enhance your company? What services to offer? How will the sales strategies change? How are companies preparing for Expo 2015? What part of corporate investments will go to this event of worldwide reach? What are the advantages and what challenges will the companies face in organising their events and developing marketing and communication plans before, during and after Expo? How much could the turnout of such a huge number of visitors interfere with daily operations and/or condition business planning and budgeting? It is the only train of the century with this potential that passes through Milan and it will be of fundamental importance to take and not miss it. The answers to these questions should emerge from the discussions between the managers and thanks to the contribution of the speakers and participants.
